PECSI: PROGRAM OF ESSENTIALS COMPETENCIES FOR SENSORY INTEGRATION; CERTIFICATION PROGRAM 2017 BY SPIRAL FOUNDATION AT OASIS PLACE, KUALA LUMPUR; MALAYSIA.
First time in Malaysia, Oasis Place with Spiral Foundation; USA will be offering this five course PECSI series in response to the WPS/USC SI certification program being discontinued. This program includes courses on sensory integration theory, clinical assessment, test administration, interpretation of patterns of sensory integration dysfunction and sensory integration intervention. NEW-Courses 1-2 will be available in an online format. Courses 3,4 & 5 must be attended in person (Live course).
Participants completing this program will receive 100 contact hours (10 AOTA CEU’s) and a certificate of attendance for each course. Practitioners registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Act will be accorded with the approved myCPD Points (pending approval).

Both courses will be available online from Thursday, 15 June 2017 to Monday, 31 July 2017
PECSI Course 3 (4th to 6th August 2017): Essentials of Administration of Sensory Integration Assessments – RM6,800 (inclusive GST) *Fees do not include cost of required SIPT scoring package CD needed.
PECSI Course 4 (28th February to 1st March 2018): Essentials of Interpretation of Patterns of Sensory Integration Dysfunction – RM3,798 (inclusive GST)
PECSI Course 5 (2nd to 3rd March 2018): Essentials of Sensory Integration Intervention – RM3,798 (inclusive GST)

About the presenter:
Dr. Teresa A. May-Benson is the Executive Director of the Spiral Foundation as well as a practicing occupational therapist at OTA The Koomar Center. Her research interest is in sensory integration and has a authored books and articles on praxis and sensory integration. She has received the Virginia Scardinia Award of Excellence from AOTA for her work in ideational praxis. Dr May-Benson has a diverse background as a clinical practitioner having worked in private and public school settings as well as private practice. She has a special interest in, and extensive experience with autism, particularly older students and adults.
