Ms P’Ng Jie Yi

Jie Yi obtained her Bachelors’ Degree in Occupational Therapy from National University of Malaysia (UKM). She has completed her certification course in Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) and has attended various conferences and workshops focusing on special needs children.

Before joining the Oasis Place team, Jie Yi worked in a community-based peadiatric rehabilitation setting. She gained vast experience from working with children with sensory processing difficulties, learning disabilities, development delays, ADD, and ADHD. Her other work experiences included organizing parent support groups, and outings.

She was also involved in organizing workshops geared towards fostering bond between parents and children, educating parents on handling special needs children, and motivating parents in their journey with special needs children. She enjoys working with children and is passionate about helping children in need.

Jie Yi has been involved in volunteer works with a team that team offers awareness talk and basic assessment for children in need at the small community area across the whole Malaysia. She is also a co-author in writing a book on special needs children. In future, she hope that with her expertise will benefit those children in needs.
