About The Event
This 3-day practicum course will provide a clinical reasoning framework for assessing and treating children with sensory integration and praxis challenges. Three case studies of individuals ranging from preschool to adults will be presented. Participants will observe a live assessment and intervention session for each case study individual and then process the session afterwards. Interpretation of assessment information gathered will be used to generate intervention goals and a treatment plan. This is an interactive course and small groups will be used to process information and practice skills presented. lecture format along with observation and apple opportunities for questions will be utilized.

About the Speaker
Dr Teresa May-Benson is the Founder of TMB Education, President of OTR, Inc Past Executive Director of the Spiral Foundation. She has extensive experience in sensory integration theory and intervention with children and adults with autism and a diverse clinical background having worked in private and public school settings as well as private practice. She is the author of the Adult/Adolescent Sensory History (ASH), the GI Assessment and the Test of Ideational Praxis in addition to numerous articles and book chapters on praxis, ideation, and sensory integration.
