
This course explores the relationship between praxis, ideation, and trauma-related mental health concerns, examining how praxis challenges both contribute to and result from trauma, impacting children’s regulation, participation, and learning. It includes lectures, live intervention observation, video reviews, and group discussions to support clinical application.

Dr Teresa May-Benson is the Founder of TMB Education, President of OTR, Inc Past Executive Director of the Spiral Foundation. She has extensive experience in sensory integration theory and intervention with children and adults with autism and a diverse clinical background having worked in private and public school settings as well as private practice. She is the author of the Adult/Adolescent Sensory History (ASH), the GI Assessment and the Test of Ideational Praxis in addition to numerous articles and book chapters on praxis, ideation, and sensory integration.
